Additionally, she completed her post-doctoral internship at the offices of Larry Pollock Ph.D. and Associates, a prominent neuropsychology private practice in Houston, Texas. With a wealth of experience working in diverse settings such as college counseling centers, community mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice, Dr. Jacque possesses a broad range of expertise. She has also conducted psychological and neuropsychological evaluations while working with survivors of brain injury. This strong generalist training, combined with her specialized background in neuropsychology, equips her to effectively work with individuals from various backgrounds.
Dr. Jacque has received several notable honors throughout her career, including the Psi Chi Graduate Leadership Award, the Graduate Student Honors and Leadership Award in Psychology, the West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities Research Award, and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists Early Career Credentialing award.
As an active member of professional organizations, Dr. Jacque maintains memberships in the American Psychological Association, the Association of Black Psychologists, the Texas Psychological Association, and the Houston Psychological Association. Moreover, she is a credentialed psychologist listed with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and has been approved to provide interjurisdictional Telepsychology services through PsyPact.
In her spare time, Dr. Jacque finds joy and balance in a vibrant array of hobbies and activities. She dedicates time to challenge her physical strength through weight training and various fitness activities. Beyond the gym, Dr. Jacque treasures moments spent alongside her family. She also finds time to “garden” using her questionable green thumb. In between her misadventures in gardening, Dr. Jacque loves to explore new cultures through world travel. When home, Dr. Jacque can be found basking in the loving chaos of her large extended family gatherings filled with loud storytelling, laughter, the natural harmony of rhythm and blues music playing in the background, and imperfect connectedness.
