    Meet Dr. Strait

    Hi, I’m Dr. Jacque.

We might have some things in common.

I’m a born and bred Texan, and I’m smart like you. I got my PhD at West Virginia University, and I’m trained in neuropsychology, which is the study of how the brain works to impact our behaviors.

But let’s get a little deeper.

I wasn’t exactly born with a silver spoon. My parents weren’t equipped to take care of me. Luckily I had loving grandparents ready to step in and take the reigns, but I know what it’s like to come from a different type of upbringing and to feel that inner drive to succeed at all costs, show the world what you can do…and end up damn tired in the process.

I keep growing on my own path so I can keep reporting back to you that yes, it’s better over here on the other side.

I’ve done the work: now I’m the guide.

My clients tell me that my warm and calm presence makes all the difference in them finally being able to open up and let a professional deeply help them.

My friends and family tell me I am a straight-shooter…no BS.

I call it like I see it, but in a way that puts people at ease and supports them in growing.

I’m also a fitness and wellness enthusiast (read: gym rat!), and I know a great deal about the proven connection between your physical and mental health. Don’t worry, I don’t force my clients to the gym 10 times a week, but if you’re interested in learning about your mind-body connection and how to really push your potential, I’ll happily support your learning curve.

Helping people like you is my strength and my passion. Change can start as soon as you pick up that phone.

I can’t wait for you to experience how much better life can feel!

She dedicates time to challenge her physical strength through weight training and various fitness activities. Beyond the gym, Dr. Jacque treasures moments spent alongside her family.  She also finds time to “garden” using her questionable green thumb. In between her misadventures in gardening, Dr. Jacque loves to explore new cultures through world travel. When home, Dr. Jacque can be found basking in the loving chaos of her large extended family gatherings filled with loud storytelling, laughter, the natural harmony of rhythm and blues music playing in the background, and imperfect connectedness.
